What to do if your child is sick

On the first day of absence please call, email (office@carletonrode-primary.norfolk.sch.uk) or log the absence on the Pupil Asset App before 9.30am.

If a child’s absence continues into a new week please call the school before 9.30am to let us know they are still unwell.

Please note if your child is sick or has diarrhoea they should not return to school for at least 48 hours after the last bout of illness.

What to do if your child needs to take medication during school hours

If your child needs medication at school we may be able to administer it for you. A Parental/Headteacher agreement for school to administer medicine form will need to be completed.

All medication should be clearly marked with your child’s name.

There may be some cases where we are unable to administer medication. Each case is individual so please make sure a responsible adult brings the form and medication into school so we can confirm whether or not we are able to assist.

Please make sure you collect the medicine from the school office at the end of each day.
